GPWEEK - Bruno Senna Previews Abu Dabhi

Senna Previews Abu Dabhi
As one of only a handful of drives to have experienced the all new Yas Marine circuit before the track was officially inaugurated at last week´s GP2 Asia test, Bruno Senna has the honour of actually being the first driver to rave completed a lap of the track, when he took some lucky passengers out in an F1 two seater a few weeks ago. Senna spoke exclusively to GPWeek at the brazilian Grand prix about what Formula 1 can expect from the latest track to make its debut on the calendar.

I Think it´s going to be quite interesting because it´s a new circuit first of all. Second, it´s race starts with sunlight and ends with no sunlight, so the temperature and humidity are going to chance. This will cause a lot of variables with the teams so teams that running better in a warmer environment will suffer towards the end. Things will progress in different ways throughout the race so strategy will be key.
I think it´s also easy to make mistaker because there are many off camber corners and if you go off line it´s completely dirty, so I think should probably crate some good and interesting racing, I´m not sure about oversing. There are some good long straights but F1 cars are built hard on the overtalking side and it´s very dirty offline.
It is a technical circuit, this is its main feature. There are some fast corners on the circuit that you can attack and gain some time but in general it´s going to be a street-ish circuit, especially around marina area. The corners there are a bit slow, but as I said most of theses corners are off camber corners, the on camber corners are very difficult. The car will be very loose in the rear.
So it should be quite interesting to see how people cope cope with the car set up and I think some of the fast corners will dictate how much downforce you´re going to take and you know how theses guys take very
little changes on the aerodynamic side.
If had to compare Yas Marina to another circuit, it would be hard to say to be very honest. I Think it is quite unique because is has a very close. It´s pretty unique in very way.
Formula 1´s arrival in Abu Dhabi should be quite cool, I think. The circuit facilities are amazing. It´s the standard for every other circuit coming into thesport in the future, and Abu Dabhi itself is a good place. I´ve been there a few times and I enjoy it a lot so think there´s lot of structure around for the teams and F1 people and I think the fans will really enjoy it"
